Maybe you've got lots of plans, or perhaps you’re not quite sure where to start...wherever you're at, I'll learn what's important to you, give you guidance and incorporate the elements that'll make your ceremony truly meaningful.​​​ I’ll work closely with you to compliment your vision. Rest assured my years of experience, creativity and skills will support you, all the way. You're in safe hands. ​ We'll discuss the feel you're wanting to achieve... relaxed? casual? traditional bits? romantic? quirky? cultural or heritage elements? Maybe it's a mix of all! My flexibility means I've created and conducted ceremonies in all sorts of different styles and themes. ​ Travelling across the motu-country is definitely something I can accommodate (& often do). Some of the varied locales I've been at are: Wellington's Cable-Car, Zealandia, Te Papa's Rongomaraeroa Marae, Rotorua's Whakarewarewa-Redwood Forest, Wairarapa Vineyards, The Boatshed, sumptuous Wedding Venues, and at Back Gardens, Halls, Beaches, Surf Clubs and Air-B'n'B's (& many more!). ​ If you have a specific dress-code/expectation, I will adhere to that and wear clothing or colours that you're comfortable with. Whether that be muted, one-tone, bright, rainbow or even a costume for a specific theme.​​ You need to be comfortable with your chosen Celebrant, so I encourage you to have a no obligation ZOOM meeting with me first. FULL FEELS
(Personalised)

This has all the feels.

 

Whether there's 5 or 500 guests, this ceremony is very powerful and impactful as it truly reflects your relationship and who you are as a couple.

A very distinct aspect will be the telling of your 'couple story' and the most amazing, authentic way I present this to your guests, is by using your very own words as quotes, peppered throughout your ceremony ☺

 

It means so much more than if I was speaking from my observations and it's an absolute highlight!

​

Your ceremony will be a balance of humour, love, romance, perhaps even the odd tear.

​

It's wholly flexible, and once I learn what's important and meaningful to you, there'll be some special elements that I'll suggest for your consideration.​​

Perhaps a Celtic Hand-fasting or Oathing Stone Ritual fits your heritage, maybe it's Karakia, Waiata and Te Reo, or other aspects from another culture? It might be a Crystal Ritual or a special Poem, perhaps guests are writing messages to you and placing them in an engraved wooden box containing your favourite tipple?, or is it including & acknowledging your blended family with a tree planting or other ritual? Maybe it's a mix of all of them! Or maybe you don't want any of that...it's up to you, and there's many more choices. We'll chat ☺ ​ One thing is certain, your guests will still be raving about your ceremony, long after your day is over and you'll have a unique ceremony experience to cherish forever. ​ I'm excited to learn all about you both so we can tailor your ceremony to suit you.

SHORT & SWEET (Personalised)

Short, Simple and Sweet!

 

This option has a set script and is suitable if you have a limited budget and small guest list.

 

Importantly, this option gives you the choice to say your own special words to each other (Personal Vows).

 

Or I can help you write these by providing you with examples that you can choose to use as they are or alter as you wish.

​

There's flexibility around the date (can be held during the week, weekends, public holidays), time and location.

​

The max no: of people = 20 (including your 2 witnesses) + you two.

​

Other criteria do apply because as the name implies, this ceremony is designed to be kept brief.​​​​​​​​​​​

REGISTRY

Marriage, Rainbow Weddings, Civil Union

Couples need to meet strict criteria to qualify for a Registry ceremony.

 

This criteria has been set by Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) in conjunction with CANZ (Celebrants Aotearoa Association).

​

A Registry ceremony is basic.

Its' function is to cover the legal formalities of getting married in NZ. By law, the script cannot be altered in anyway.

 

There's a max allowed of 10 people (incl. your 2 witnesses).​

 

My preference is to conduct Registry ceremonies from my home, unless there's extenuating circumstances e.g. marrying in Hospice.

 

I am authorised by the Aotearoa NZ Government, as a registered marriage Celebrant (with VCANZ* accreditation), to conduct Registry ceremonies.

ZOOM MEETING

Our no obligation meeting is where I learn about your plans, discuss how I work and my fee.

CONTRACT & BOOKING FEE

Completing my contract form and paying my booking fee secures me for your date and time.

MEETING IN PERSON

The 3 of us meet, I learn more details about you both and what's important to you.  We chat about options, ceremony structure etc

YOUR TIMELINE

We'll discuss a Timeline so you're aware of any action points you need to do e.g. when you need to apply for your marriage licence, our proposed meetings etc

CEREMONY CREATION

Leading up to your date, we discuss your preferences, firm up decisions and I create 1st ceremony draft.

You get all drafts and can edit to your heart's content.​

REHEARSAL

​

A rehearsal happens at your venue where we'll practise the aisle walk choreography (with music), people placement & other key elements. It boosts confidence & calms nerves.

CEREMONY
Your BIG day!
I arrive an hour ahead (always dressed in the attire you want me to wear).
I
 set up my areas, check in with music operator, venue liaison, photographer etc
When you arrive, I check in with you.
Then it's GO time - YAY!
