About Me
Kia ora lovely tātou!
I'm Andi Harness, based in Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand (and I happily travel where needed).
As a 'people person' I'm down to earth and genuinely love connecting and working with ALL people, including my beloved Rainbow LGBTTQIA+

It's an absolutely big, definite YES!
I adore working with straight clients, different cultures, neuro-sparkly people, all age groups and people at various life stages.

Whether you're farewelling a loved one with a funeral, memorial, or living funeral, getting married/hitched, celebrating an occasion or wanting to mark a particular life milestone, I'll learn what's important to you, and then offer helpful suggestions which add that extra special touch, giving you an enduring, unique memory everyone will cherish.
I became registered in 2013 when the NZ Marriage Amendment Act was passed. It was important to me to give my Rainbow people the choice of having a Celebrant who is one of their own and really gets them.
Cathie and I are married and have been together over 22 years. We originally bonded by performing with a gender-bending Drag King comedy troupe, imaginatively called 'The Drag Kings Aotearoa'.
We live in Te Whanganui A Tara (Wellington*, NZ) with our tamariki huruhuru (fur children); cat Xena and wee yorkie, Possum.

As a VCANZ* member of CANZ (Celebrants Aotearoa Association) I keep up-to-date with regular professional development opportunities. This keeps me relevant, and better able to meet changes, diverse people and needs, in our society. I'm enjoying a stint as CHAIR of the Wellington-Wairarapa branch of CANZ, have a Certificate in Celebrant Studies, Diploma in NZ Business (Leadership & Management), and studied towards the Bachelor of Performing Arts Management via esteemed Toi Whakaari (NZ Drama School). I’ve also got experience in Event Management, Public Speaking, Stage & Film performance. Being a Celebrant is deeply gratifying heart work for me because love is the basis for my mahi, and love is the reason for connecting with people from all walks of life, being of service, whether this is in dark times of grief or the brightest time of joy. *VCANZ = Validated member, recognition of maintaining a continued level of excellence.
